I will talk about City of Sydney...

A wonderful City where are old and modern buildings. There are a lot of big Parks that you can see the beautiful view of City. The most amazing is Hyde Park is located at the medium of the downtown and people usually have lunch lying on the grass, so if you be there at middle day you will see a lot of people taking a rest with work clothes. One of their customs is take way that mean you bring your food from home or buy at the small restaurants for eat at the Parks, so the most of the restaurants are small. Other thing interesting is BYO that mean Bring your own... you can bring your drink at the restaurants. Those happen because the license for alcohols is expensive.

Good for us and good for them.

You can shop at the street with a big store and very good brand like as the Apple store. There is a fantastic Historic Buildings where have magnific shop of clothes with delicious cafes inside that is call Queen Victoria Building.

A monorail service runs from the Central Business District to Darling Harbour and skirts the harbour, making stops at points around the harbour. Until now, Darling Harbour has been a place that has appealed more to little folk, due to the number of children's attractions, but the advent of the Cockle Wharf restaurant and cafe complex has added a new dimension to Darling Harbour.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Sydney's most famous landmarks. Completed in 1932, the construction of the bridge was an economic feat as well as an engineering triumph. Prior to the bridge being built, the only links between the city centre in the south and the residential north were a 20 kilometre (12 mile) road route that involved five bridge crossings.
Choose from a one or two hour tour that take in the extraordinary history, breathtaking architecture and the unseen workings of the Opera House and its daily life or take you behind-the-scenes to stand on stage in the world-famous Concert Hall or Opera Theatre among other exclusive opportunities and to enjoy a light breakfast in the Green Room.

The Rocks is the oldest area of Sydney and has recently undergone an amazing metamorphosis, the old district being transformed into a vibrant pocket of cafes and restaurants and interesting tourist shops and stalls. This has been achieved without destroying the area's Old World charm and historic buildings. Sydney's town planners have put in place a sensitive conservation program that has preserved the heritage and character of The Rocks and brought about an interesting fusion of modern amenities in an old and valued setting.

Six months...

On February the best summer... the most important thing was the end of the English class. I didn`t take it anymore, so good we have time to work and enjoy the summer. We moved to a home near the beach, just one block. Also we changed the beach, we moved to Bondi Beach; we always thought that it was a bad idea because there is a lot of Brazilian. We did not choose, because the owner of our apartment did not pay the bills and then the Bank gave for us four day to get off. We were homeless; the solution was every one by self. Our flatmate moved to Tania’s parent home and we slept two days at our friends' house. Luck us we knew one couple who lived at a studio and they were moving to another house soon. That studio did not have contract, so we moved at perfect time.
Okay, everything looks perfect... We got a fix job; the studio was small but we were very happy here. I did not know if I was sleeping in the kitchen or the kitchen was my bedroom. It was CRAZY!!
Our visa??? We had some problem to renew. Daniel had to stop working; our visa was in standby, then two months without money. Luck I continued my work, because I worked with cash hand and Daniel continued with other job, cash hand as well. We could pay most part of our bills. We were working more or less, but we enjoyed the summer a lot.
After two months we got our visa and Daniel return for his fix job and I got a new job. We worked a lot and started to plan our first trip in August: going to see SNOW.

Just curiosity

The shopping carts moves to all direction. It goes to the right and left and if you live near from Market you can take it for your home and left at the street. Then we can see a lot of shopping carts spread the street.
Dogs
The dog is educated. He waits your owner outside the market, restaurants, cafes... Some dogs without a collar.
Not exist street dog. People usually adopted pet. What happens if the pet not find a owner? Is better not think about that.

Beach
There’s no use of umbrella or chairs, because the wind is too much strong then we use just a towel. You can see some tent as well. When we see an umbrella it tied with ropes.

Moroubra

We moved to Maroubra Junction that was just fifteen minutes walking to the beach. There is a mall near and bus stop, so everything we wanted. The house was beautiful there is a big balcony where we put the barbecue. Perfect, every weekend we made a great barbecue there. These changes for better!!
We were a good luck. Our flatmates were great who was a couple, one that is a Daniel’s cousin who called Marcinho and another one is his girlfriend who is Aussie called Tania. Then we could practice English all day. It was a good time!
Our home was wonderful like a Sao Paulo’s house there were great furniture, completed kitchen, bathroom with bath... so we didn’t worry about buy the things for home, it was helpfully, because this time was difficult to find a fix job, specially because we were doing English curse that was at daytime. So we could work only at nighttimes and weekend. Everyone at the school worry about how difficult was to find a job. I could not wait more, every day walking with my resume to look for a job and I was not finding this shit work as cleaner or waitress. I could not believe that.
However, Daniel was working all weekend where he was earning good money for us and I earned some money as well working in casual shift. We could pay the bill, ONLY!! And we didn’t know if we could pay or no, but always we got to pay. I had just casual job, than I never knew how much I would earn, sometime I worked every day during two weeks and next two weeks I worked once.
Most of the people told us that the first six months you just pay bills. Yeah, you can believe this it is true, NOT EASY! We could not plan anything; just we were living day by day.
That all right, we needn’t spend money because was summer and we was living tem minutes by foot from the beach so we enjoyed it. No money however we got a tan! And I got this opportunity to study English as well.
Nowadays, I think about that and the conclusion is... When you arrived in Australia you can earn money to travel, to learn English, to save money and there is opportunity for your career as well. But you will need time for doing this, not just in six months. That is what everyone wants when come here and that is what the travel agent is selling for us. So this is shit. You don’t know the own language of country, the customs, how do you live by yourself! How can you get a good job just in six months? Impossible!! TAKE A TIME!!
Because of this there are a lot of Brazilian who go back in six months without travel, English and money. Only strong people survive!

Starting school nsw

The school’s fantastic – teaches are very good and the other students are nice. They’re from around the world- Japan, Asia, Poland, Turkish, Italy, and Thailand... And all part of Brazil- Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Paraiba, Brasilia, Manaus, Rio de Janeiro...
Everywhere! We’re really happy here; all things are beautiful and totally different. While we walked a lot, each day we saw a new famous site- Opera House, Botanic Garden, Darling Harbour... You have to be carefully when you cross the street, traffic here is reverse hand. We almost had road accident.
It was colder in August, but the problem is windy. The windy is strong and cold. It was finishing the winter, imagine in June. I’m afraid about this. Impossible get into the sea, because the water was freezer and into houses only with heater. Neither of us had lived alone and we have to do everything in our house, so during the first month we were adapting. We have to cook a meal for us, to tidy up the house, do the market and the most important we have to share everything with our flatmates. The first decision was to move to another house. Bigger that one everyone will have privacy with own bathroom, that is, own space.
The end of month we saw that Sydney is expensive, so we have to look for a job...

The first week in Australia

We arrived at the airport at eight o’clock in the morning. Marcio and Tania were waiting for us there. First they took us to the traditional Australian Breakfast in Bondi Beach, it was great. Australian usually eats a big plate with: eggs, toast, bacon, an avocado, sausages, mushrooms and beans. Yeah, Can you imagine eating beans for breakfast? However they eat a different kind of beans they are prepared in a way that they a little sweeter.
After this we went to house to organise our bags. This time I felt surprised because I found some letters from my family and my friends, so beautiful. Then we took a shower and went to a barbecue at our friend Marcio’s who was celebrating his birthday. It was a long day.
Our week was a bit confused, every night we woke up at three o’clock in the morning and we couldn’t sleep more. It’s normal because of jet leg. The next night we went to the Pub the Coogee Bay Hotel to celebrate Marcio’s birthday again. There we met some Aussies and Vanessa and Paulo these couple is our family nowadays. My mind burned I tried to understand English and I felt nervous because I couldn’t speak, like a big baby.

Australia

Australia is an island continent located in the Southern Hemisphere. It lies between the Pacific and Indian oceans and has a land area of over seven million square kilometres.
The climate in Australia ranges from tropical in the far north to temperate in the south. Aproximately one third of Australia is desert . Because it is a geographically isolated country, Australia has many animals that are unique. Some of these are the kangaroos, koalas, emus, dingoes and platypuses.

The first people to come to Australia were the Aborigines. It is believed that they arrived here about 60,000 years ago. In 1770, Captain Cook was the first European to land on the east coast to claim Australia for Britain. In 1788, Governor Phillip arrived in Port Jackson (now Sydney) to set up the first colony. Originally it was a place for British prisoners. When the Europeans came to stay, there were approximately 300,000 Aboriginal people living in Australia.

The population of Australia reached 20 million in 2005. Sydney is the largest city with 4,305,500 people as at July 2004. Australia is a multiracial and multicultural society where people from over 200 countries have made Australia their home.

When tourists visit Australia, they can visit such place as the Great Barrier Reef off the Queensland coast, Sydney with its beaches , the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge and numerous other places - too many to mention here. Whether a visitor likes the country or city, there is much to see here in Australia.

New South Wales is Australia’s most diverse State, home to the country’s largest and most cosmopolitan city, Sydney. There are five World Heritage sites to explore including the famous Sydney Opera House. The State has a string of accessible, sparkling beaches stretching from north to south, a vast, colourful outback, Australia’s highest mountain offering every type of snow sport, and meandering waterways

To go away by plane to the other side the world!

Minutes before I went to the airport my brother Tiago said to me: ‘Come o0n, you need to learn how to carry three plates’ It was funny and very important to me because every place here asks: ‘How many plates can you carry?’
When I was opening the door, the telephone rang. It was a phone message from my brother Renato to wish me good luck. So I got emotional and I felt excited.
We travelled by Aero lines Argentina, so we were worried about this because the company had failed and a lot of flights had been delayed. We didn’t want to wait too many hours and fortunately the flight wasn’t delayed.
On the plane there were a lot of Brazilian and Argentinean guys at this time we made our first new friends who had the same ideas as us.
We left at six o’clock in the afternoon on the 29th of august and the journey to Australia took about nineteen hours. During the journey we talked about things we expected to happen and the first things we should do.
-open a bank account.
-go on a coach tour of the City.
-buy some things.
